Famous encounter

One of Adam's favorite MLB players was at his game last night. Dontrel Willis from the Florida Marlins is the cousin of one of the players. Adam has all of his baseball cards, his action figure and almost fell over backwards asking for his autograph. He was such a nice guy, was happy to talk with the boys (and adults who approached, can you guess the first adult? Nope your wrong it was Susan!). If you ever get a chance to see him pitch take a look at his leg kick. His knee gets up to his head! He didn't have his World Series ring on though that would have been really cool to see.

My mommy is coming

I have been running around like Paul Revere! My mommy is coming, My mommy is coming! I got an invite to a fun Bingo tournament at the Plaza hotel in Vegas and of course my first instinct was to email mom and invite her. So she figures if shes gonna come out and go to Vegas she should actually visit with everyone else here as well. So we get her for a very short 2 weeks! Now if we can convince Lyle to let Erika and Jackson come.....

busy weekend

The party was a success. At least I think so. Marisa smiled alot and told me she had a good Birthday. Josh did a wonderful BBQ for us and everyone ate and ate and talked and talked. The cake was good, the presents were fun, and everyone went home by 10.

Saturday, we found out that a dad on Adam's team passed away earlier in the week. 47 years old and no signs of anything he just dropped down and died.

Then later that night one of his team mates had a ball take a nasty hop and got hit in the nose. Broken in 3 places! I didn't realize a nose bone could be long enough to be broken in 3 different places.

Yesterday was pretty uneventful but watching the World Series is definately keeping me occupied! GO BO SOX!

babies

My baby is 18 today! I can hardly believe we made it. I say we because there were times when I didn't know if she or I were going to make it through some days. But we did and she is a beuatiful and wonderful woman. Wow! A woman, ok let's try lady, yeah lady sounds much better. Of course I'm sure we'll have our moments but now it is all up to her. Her decisions, her choices. But I will be there to back her up 100% with a smile on my face. Of course that is only because I had the best teacher. Thanks mom! I want to take this chance to thank all of my wonderful family. It has always been said that it takes a village to raise a family, and in my case it was definately true. Thank you everyone for all the help through all the years, I know I didn't always make the right decisions or the right choices but you were all there supporting me and backing me up whether you liked it or not. And together look at what we accomplished! I couldn't have done it without you. I love you all!
