I was stuck in the elevator toady. It was only for about 15 minutes but was plenty long enough for me. To get where I was coming from to where I was going to, there is no stair access, except to exit the building, so the elevator is the only choice.

I have a new favorite game on the computer.......Free Cell. I could play the whole day through.

I bought some barbells at the Grocery store (of all places!), and I plan to do some exercises in my office during lunch. Right now they are in the backseat of my car. I don't want to look stupid carrying them in. Maybe in the dark of night.....

Caitlyn went swimming for the first time yesterday. Well not swimming, but floating in her cute toy floatie thing. She was okay with it until I got stung by a bee and I had to pass her off to someone else. When Mel tried taking her in later she wanted nothing to do with it.

I haven't weighed myself lately, but I have a couple of pairs of jeans that I can take on and off without unsnapping or unzipping. I am not "dieting", but I am keeping track of what I eat on a website called Spark. I am supposed to eat between 1700 and 2000 calories per day and exercise alot more than I do. So far my average caloric intake is about 1600, and my exercise could improve. Kathy and I have been going to the gym and I even went with Mel one day last week. Now if I could just get up the momentum to go alone, I will be all set. Sunday instead of going I decided to watch a movie, Memoirs of a Geisha, good but the gym would have been better.

I am so ready for Vegas.

  1. I can't believe that you have just now discovered Free Cell. I love it.

Writing down what you eat is a good strategy until you fall into the trap of thinking that if its not written down, it doesn't count.

Mother nature counts everything. (Notice my PCness in not saying God)

Did you throw Caitlyn under water? I have crossed over to the philosophy that that it good for babies. The younger the better.

  2. No the water was pretty cold. We will save that for warmer times, or maybe the ocean!

  3. The book "Memoirs of a Geisha" was wonderful. The movie, not so much.

  4. Yes, mom tried to get me to put Jackson under but I couldn't do it. He did fall under at one point when I thought he was standing on the step but he wasn't. He was upset, but stayed in the water and eventually let loose of the death grip he had on my neck and played like it had never happened.

Where is the picture of Caitlyn in the cute floatie thing.

I understand completely about the barbells. I would get a sturdy canvas bag and bring them in. It is not so much that it would be embarassing, but having to answer stupid questions from stupid people should be avoided always.

Taking pants on and off without unzipping is one of the things I miss most about being pregnant. For about a month afterward I would run into a bathroom and tug at my pants and they would not come down. Damn!
