Saturday Morning

Erika and Gretchen claim we had the best Saturday morning cartoons. Not only did we, but Saturday morning was the ONLY time for cartoons. We didn't have a 24 hour network or cartoons on every channel. We purposely got up early on Saturday mornings and filled a bowl of cereal to the brim to watch cartoons. One Friday night in August we would gather around to watch a show I believe on ABC that would preview the new cartoons.

Now, my cahllenge to you is to name 3 Saturday Morning cartoons from the 60's, 70's.

Here are mine:
Scooby Doo (way before the stupid mutt Scrappy was involved)
The ABC Cartoon Olympics (remember how Snidely would ruin everything!?)
SpeedBuggy!

If you can't think of any here is a website to try to refresh your memory!

    The Great Grape Ape
    Josie and the Pussycats

We did have Sesame Street and Electric Company during the week, but you are right otherwise the whole week was barren until Saturday.

Then on Sunday we had Shirley Temple and Abbott and Costello movies.
